Windsor may not have been a traditional school, but it took Graduation seriously with a three day Commencement event usually in the first week of June. Formal Invitations were sent out, printed letterpress on 4 x 6″ fold-over white card. Beginning Thursday there was a Senior Picnic at 6 PM, then on Friday a Soccer Game, Cookout by the pool followed by a play at the Theater. On Saturday the Graduation began at 11 am that often included well known guest speakers … in 1974 it was Alger Hiss, ending with a buffet lunch – here is a copy of the “Rules” (click here). Your curator has only a few scanned copies of the invitations, play programs, and related items here. To see a complete 1970 set (click here).
