2023 Lenox Reunion, Saturday, September 16th – UPDATE 9/12

9/12 from BU-Tanglewood (our host) — Park in the gravel lot in front of Groton Place (Main House). The 2nd & 3rd floors of Groton Place are used by BU Medical Residents and not accessible.

8/18 from Betsy — “soooo home slice(s)( pl?) the contract, the $2500 and event insurance all went to BU yesterday. WE ARE ON!! bring music, picnic lunch and a lawn chair or blanket to sit on. And a peaceful state of mind. to me the campus is an oasis from our messed up world.”

The 2023 Reunion is confirmed for Saturday, September 16, 2023, 11 am to 5 pm, Rain or Shine. The cost will be $60 per person payable to Betsy Ryan at PayPal betsylryan@yahoo.com use FREE send to friend (NOTE: you will need to have cash on account or linked bank account). If you are unable to use PayPal and/or intend to pay by mail, please contact Betsy directly at betsylryan@yahoo.com to get her mailing address. We will need to raise $3000 to cover BUTI event fee and grounds insurance coverage to secure the reservation with BUTI for this Fall. Any excess funds (if any) will be available to help those on a limited budget attend to cover the Reunion Fee and Lodging, therefore we ask, if you are in this position where some financial assistance would help you decide to come to this Reunion, please let Betsy know by email. In addition, if needed, we will create a GoFund to help as well. We also want to thank the many alums who have volunteered to help with set up, clean up, welcome table, etc.

Hotels/Lodging: On Facebook, many folks are suggesting the Pleasant Valley Motel and Econo Lodge, both in Lee area (off Mass Pike) and around ±$85/night. The Wagon Wheel off Rt 7 to Pittsfield is another favorite. You will want to book soon to get best prices. Betsy says to avoid the Howard Johnson’s by Wyndam as her stay in May was awful!

Tree/Plaque: many of you have also agreed to support this Legacy Project on our former Campus, and we want you to know you will get a separate email in the near future regarding your input as to wording, type of tree, style of Plaque, including total cost.

• As in prior years the campus will open at 11:00 am with parking in front entry lot. Come in front door of Main House to get name tag. Bathrooms in Main House only.
• Bring your own food and beverages. We encourage bringing extra to share (Potluck).
• Bring your own seating if you can (limited seating / tables onsite). We will gather on back lawn. Don’t forget your musical instruments!
• The Reunion will end at 5:00 pm. We ask you bring out all items you brought with you, and assist in clean up.
